Vonage Ok, I have had service for a couple of months now and it has not worked reliably

Ok,

I have had service for a couple of months now and it has not worked reliably yet. The last 3 weeks were my fault and I will explain that shortly.

I have a T1 into my house, w/ 32 IP addresses... overkill yes, but fun.

So here is the config:

T1 -> Netopia rtr -> linksys (8 port switch) -> Linksys RT31P2 -> patch panel for house

I reset the box before going on a trip so it was trying to use DHCP which is not setup....

So I got home lastnight and tried to setup the config... gave it Static IP
set the correct gateway
and DNS entries
it reboots and it works....

Then I get a call... rings once and goes to my alternate number
I unplug RT31P2 and wait 2 min and plug in again
it comes back on
Ask friend to call
I get the call and we start talking
in 2 minutes, they can no longer here me
then call gets dropped

reset power again....
place call to friend
it works for about 4 minutes, then goes dead
I ping device and get one response then other three die
75% loss

goe check the device and phone lights are not on.

I check the comments on other posts and realize I have an older version of the firmware. HOW do I upgrade? went to linksys site... no luck

So any help is appreciated. I just had my neighbor cancel because it never worked for them.... I don't want to give up.

I have a total of 4 hours in wait time for tech support and have only spoken to one person who said she would have a tech call me back! That never happened!
