OK. Day after I managed to revert my WRTP54G unit from firmware ver 1.00.60 (auto-pushed to me by Vonage) back to functional 1.00.55, appears my unit has already again upgraded itself to 1.00.60. Lo and behold, same problem now exists - no dial-tone on the single phone in our house regardless of phone jack used. Like others who have reported this issue, I use a single 5.8 ghz cordless base station with multiple expansion handsets. Moved into a brand new house with cat 5 wiring to all phone jacks connected to the WRTP54G device. confirmed device functioned correctly under 1.00.55. Am becoming increasingly unhappy w/ my ability to not only select the firmware that sufficiently meets my need, but works PERIOD. Considering device works w/ 1.00.55 and not 1.00.60, I'm certain it's a Voip adapter issue and no further troubleshooting is required (already spent a day of troubleshooting to arrive at this conclusion). What have others done to overcome similar issue? Thanks.
