You only log in with the capital Admin user name if you intend on using the hashed password that customers do not have access to - The only time you would do that is if the other password has failed. Here is the short version of how to do an upgrade on a TI device:

This will take you to the Firmware Upgrade page. Click on the Browse button to find the file you downloaded and click on Upgrade.

Because there is no page on the device for Firmware upgrade successes or failures, it gives a "Page Not Displayed" error. Disregard this error, as the Power light should continue blinking rapidly. This indicates that the device is still upgrading its firmware. When the blinking stops the device should reboot itself and come back with the latest firmware. Log out of the device and log back in and it should say "Firmware Version: 1.00.55" in the top right-hand corner. The firmware upgrade is then complete.

Things you want to watch out for:

If the firmware upgrade is over too quickly, like you get the page not displayed screen error, but then 2 seconds later the device is restarting. Probably didn't flash correctly.

For God's sake don't try this over a wireless connection. Should be obvious but we get plenty of calls from customers who try and then suddenly, they don't have Linksys Router, but a Linksys Doorstop. And it's Vonage's fault. :roll:

If you get bad password error, you can try to do a hard reset and try again. To properly do a hard reset, press and HOLD the reset button until you see the power light flash and go solid again. THEN you can release. Wait for the device to start back up and try again.

When trying to do a firmware upgrade manually, if you have the image file on your machine locally, disconnect the internet from the device. This way you won't have to worry about, is the device downloading the firmware at the same time, or is someone going to call you during this critical process. Also disable wireless network temporarily - this saves CPU on the router as it does not have to deal with wireless packets flying in and out as it tries to flash.
