Not anymore. TiVos downloads are performed over the satellite, the phone call activates it. The calls in last a minute and pass information about PPVs and things of that nature.

Vonage needs to get on the bandwagon. ATT CallVantage just announced they are compatable with the TiVo units. This is a major sticking point with us DirecTv TiVo owners. Sure, I am enjoying the services from Vonage and the great pricing, but my nag screen will get on my nerves and I will look around.

Also Vonage needs to adopt ACR. I don't like receiving blocked calls and would like to reject them. You want to be the leader in Voip then take the reigns and show initiative. The other players are catching up fast!
