Vonage No love here? Can someone please help with this? I tried reading many other forums

No love here? Can someone please help with this? I tried reading many other forums but none go into detail on the actual connection. I just read how only certain fax's work and if they use a dedicated fax line. I don't need a fax line for a few faxes per year but PLEASE can someone help with how to make the connections? I don't use any phone jacks in the house, all my phones are wireless except for the 1 base receiver. I have that hooked into the Vonage adapter(VT2142), then that goes to my router. I read that only 1 of the phone In ports on the back of the Vonage adapter will work with 1 line, so do I need to buy a splitter? And as I said, back in the day I used a modem to hook up my fax but it sounds like this is no longer needed? Also, I use a cable modem but do I still need a DSL filter when using a fax machine? :?: When I try using google all the reviews say that you can use both ports on the back of the Vonage router but in the forums it says one of them is disabled. When I checked online on my account it has my number on Port 1 and Port 2 says available? Can I just plug my fax right into the second port? My computer wont be here for another few days so I haven't tried messing with any of the connections yet.
