No Phone lights or dial tone for line1 (only active).
Plug into line2, one dial beep tone, then nothing. No message saying inactive.

PC/Internet access from WRTP54G Vonage/LinkSys router works fine with it's default configuration. Problem is no phone line light or dial tone.

Starband
481 LinkSys Vonage/LinkSys
Internet ->BEFSX41 ->WRTP54G ->phone (no light or tone)
->PC (works fine)

Used scenario 2 for network for connecting Vonage Phone adapter to existing router. I tried to eliminate the BEFSX41 and use only the WRTP54G unsuccessfully. The WRTP54G NEVER picks up it’s DHCP address from the Starband 481 router/modem. I used chat session with LinkSys and their forum and finally gave up.

This forum's Vonage network setup and the RTP300 Setup/Networking threads were very useful. I haven’t thought networking for years but my archival process is slowing working to move that info back to my brain!

Voip testing shows slow sometimes but this is better than no phone. Our only connectivity is via satellite for Internet and TV (separate receivers).

Could this be a faulty router?? Thanks in advance...
