And you are right, it's most definitely a software issue. They've set their NAT parameters to maintain dead connections for about 5 days or so. With lots of connections coming and going with filesharing and often not closing gracefully, it seems to take a computer typically about 12-24 hours to fill up the connection table, at which point it will have trouble establishing/maintaining valid connections.
Since they gave you a standard BS response about "not being aware of anyone else having the problem" I'll have some futile fun and report it myself too. I don't expect to get anywhere, but what the hell.
