Vonage Nah, just marketing partners. Locally, they are in bed with SBC. This DISH problem

Nah, just marketing partners. Locally, they are in bed with SBC. This DISH problem highlights that there is a true technological hurdle that needs to be solved in the near future, or the Digital Rights Management (DRM) fanatics are going to have to back off. (I think they should anyway.) When they start talking about applying DRM to all types of programming and media in the near future, from one Nielsen Direct Market Area (DMA, no "N"-hmm) as a "big area" (~city) down to a neighborhood level, they will have to be able to accurately know where the receiver of the transmission is, and again, where they are, anytime they request to "play it" again. Are we going to end up with GPS receivers in everything we own? TV stations are already eyeing making their broadcasts playable only in their broadcast coverage area when recorded on a DVR. Send it, or move to a new town - the program wont play anymore. [Pulling analog VHS VCR back out of trash...] Dish just caves to the RIAAs and the MPAAs and enforces every nuance of their desires. If they have no programming to sell they have no business - so, they're not on "your" side. The no VoIPs will be supported policy is the first time you are bumped by the shark that intends to eat you. Food for thought! (yupapun)

Dish Network wont call

I have a model 322 Dish network receiver and it wont dial "home". Has anybody
From what I have been reading, if you have the Linksys RouterVT or VT it probably
They may have no incentive to make it work with VoIP. The DISH Network is tied somehow
Good replies. I have a linksys rt31p2 router. All is well except for my charge
The *99 trick might be enough to get it to work marginally if the 322 supports it.
Well the 322 does not except the * . Now I guess a lengthy call to dish to see what they
I tired the *99 with my dish network 522 receiver and it did not work (Connection
Sadly, no, not from me, anyway. Hope that Dish wakes up and smells the future, and
I needed to slow the modem down to be able to communicate with Directv. I did this
