Vonage My vonage was working fine until a few days ago when it started giving a problem

My Vonage was working fine until a few days ago when it started giving a problem where it starts with the message. I am using a VDV21-VD Vonage device and with a BSNL DSL connection (India). It has been working fine for over a year and suddenly it started giving a problem.

Powering up-> Connecting to Internet-> retreiving profile and hangs for a minute and then restarts this cycle again.

I did see the same issue reported a month ago on this site

The "conclusion" drawn on that thread was that it was a firmware issue and we need to roll it back. If indeed that is the case how can this be accomplished. who can perform this roolback. Also is the only option to send the device to Vonage or is that something I can do myself to rollback the firmware upadate?

I am also puzzled as to how the firmware update took place. Is this an automated action that happens when the Vonage device is connected or we need to perform some steps to go through it
