My friend sent me a link to sign up. I also wanted more info about a virtual #, or softphone so I called to speak to someone.

The first call was to Makati, Ph. There are many call centers in the greater Manila area, so this didnt surprise me, Sony support is there, as with many other big companies, and I could handle the Engrish.

The agent stated that if I signed up then, I would recieve a discount. I stated that my friend referred me, and I would like for him to get his referral credit. That agent told me to call Customer Service, and they will credit my friend. I then signed up.

I called customer service, and was told "NO, you have to use the LINK . . thats what the LINK is for!" *huffy disgusted breathing from agent* So I told that rude NJ accent, that I was lied to, and they can cancell my account.

He was absolutely non-moved by this, and said, OK no problem, CLICK - transferred to hold music . . where I was on hold for 30 minutes!!

The next day, I called, this time got INDIA . . . where I have less tolerence for broken English, but the guy was most courteous. He apologized for the experience, and transferred me again, and a NJ accent answered, I swear it sounded like the SAME guy from the day before. I calmly explained why I was dis-satisfied, and that I was given wrong information, and then was dismissed with rudeness.

This person then politely explained that I was given wrong info by the guy in Makati, and that they will offer a credit to me as the customer, or to my friend, but can not do both.

With that, I resolved to buy my friend a lunch or two, and call it a day, keeping my service.

I didnt expect to sign up, and be lied to, rude to, and not able to cancell all in my first hour!

My equipment is on the way, I hope the technology is better than the support.

I use to work at Vonage in the Corporate offices in Holdmel, NJ. The New Jersey Call
Yeah tier3, noc and development could use some fn help because the systems here
I agree. Front line jobs are not for everyone and it takes a certain type of person

"that" means, some people can't stand to work with a bunch of people of color (Black,
a rude New Jersey accent?! there's no such thing! hahaaa.
