Vonage My Vonage phone does not work either. My ISP is not willing to help me either

My Vonage phone does not work either. My ISP is not willing to help me either with Vonage or the router. Only suggestion I received was to purchase Static IP from them. So I will have to configure router to static IP. Only issue with it will be to keep the phone connected I will have to turn on the computer and connect to internet using dialer as I dont see the provision in the router to set static ip and username/pw in the same settings. Thanks
