My Motorola Vonage adaptor used to be wired by itself into one of the ports of my Linksys router where it worked perfectly. I recently connected a PC to the Motorola adaptor and noticed that it would give that PC an IP address of 192.168.102.100 while the rest of the equipment in my network had an IP of 192.168.1.XXX. Since I needed to include that PC in my network, Vonage said that the IP address provided by the Motorola box could not be changed and my only resort was to change the IP range of my Linksys router to 192.168.102.XXX so that the PC hooked up to the Motorola adaptor could be networked.

I've now configured the network to use an IP of 192.168.102.XXX but now the Motorola adaptor doesn't want to connect!! Naturally, the PC connected to it doesn't have a connection either.

Could someone give me some instructions on how to get the Vonage box (and my PC's connection) working again??

Do I tell the Motorola box to obtain an IP address automatically or should it be manually? And should I use the router's DNS settings or have the Motorola box do it automatically??
