Mhasabal, thank you for your reply. Since I am a novice at networkingn (never having created a network before) can you please explain to me a little bit about the connections? I am seriously thinking about getting the Linksys unit you just mentioned (WRT54G)...I don't play games, and all I really want from the router is to be able to use my wireless Vonage phones, be able to use the internet, and access files on my current computer. I hope the WRT54G can handle all those things ok. As far as the connections go, would I leave the internet connection as it is now (into the Vtech unit), but instead of going from the unit to my current computer's network card, I'll be going into the WRT54G, is that correct? Also, once I get the WRT54G, what device will I need to get for my computers to transmit to the router? The router is basically a receiver, is that correct? I'm sorry for these questions which may seem ignorant, but like I say, networking is all new to me...I've built about 20 computers in my life but have never built a network...thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it!
P.S. I was told by Vonage customer service that I would need to get Linksys WRT54GP2 Wireless-G Broadband Router for Vonage Internet Phone Service...Is this true, or would the WRT54G work as well? Thanks again for the info!
