(Cannot get the Voip Test to run - it just sat with no progress for an hour)
NOT sure what I did wrong last post, I see other people getting help with this problem but not me, anyway I'll try again.

I am having an issue with the v-portal dropping my internet session. I saw in earlier topics someone with the same problem but I think he got it fixed.
The service desk had me change my network connection to use a static IP address and a sepecific DNS server but that made no diff. They are now sending me a new V-Portal device. (I have the new device now and I still have the same problem).
I did notice some talk of a problem with the lease expiration and this all seems to revolve around that but it seems to get a new lease OK but the Vonage device has a problem communicating the Vonage server.
I do not always get an error code but when I do it is code 004 but when I unplug and then plug back in, the phone line is OK and I have no errors on the LCD screen but my internet connection is often still not working. It definitely happens more often the more I use the Internet. The device will be fine all night and in the morning all is OK phone working, no error codes, but as soon as I try to get on the internet it the connectiion is not there. When I lost the connection last night - I unplugged and reconnected a dozen times and could not get it back until I put the DNS server information I was given last week into to TCPIP properties screen and it came right up.
