Let me first say that I have already tried searching the forums for the answer to this question, but did not find anything. Maybe I'm searching with the wrong terms...anyways...
I am buying a new house in May, and I am preparing to make the jump to broadband internet (from Qwest dial-up) and Vonage (from Qwest/ATT) in one leap. So, I won't even have to signup with Qwest, which makes me really happy. :-D :-D :-D
I am trying to plan the day where my cable will be activated, and I was just wondering how long it takes to get Vonage activated? The minute that I have broadband working in my new home, can I go signup on the Vonage website and have service immediately? Or, does it take the usual Qwest-like week or so to flip the switch? I bought the Linksys WRT54GP2 wireless router w/Vonage built-in, so I don't need their phone adapter (but will probably get it anyways in case I travel). Just wondering how soon I can expect Vonage phone service after I get my broadband internet.
