Vonage Just signed up for Vonage this past Tuesday and wondering if the rates to Hong Kong
Just signed up for Vonage this past Tuesday and wondering if the rates to Hong Kong and Australia changed after Oct. 1
For the past four days I have been using Vonage everything is going good. But it seems the more that I read about them they seem to charge fees or more expensive fees than other Voip companies.
And, now the international rates have changed, too. I'm sure it wasn't going down in price either. The reason I want to know is that I figure I have at a little over a week to see if I really like this or not, and to compare voice quality and features to price ratio with other Voip carriers.
Since I do make a lot of calls to the countries listed above I want to get the cheapest rate I can get while still attaining good voice quality. I have to admit that I find Packet8 very attractive price wise and fee wise. They do not charge a cancellation fee after 12 months of service or if you bought the phone adapter through a retailer. Vonage will charge a fee to leave ($39.99) them no matter how long you are with them.
To change phone plans a fee of ten dollars? Come on now. I'm afraid that if they keep charging these fees they are going to lose some customers and keep a lot away when a company like Packet8 is offering plans that are cheaper monthly, lower international rates, and sound quality as good or better than Vonage.
