Vonage Just got my F1000, and a few things popped out right away as drawbacks... 1)

Just got my F1000, and a few things popped out right away as drawbacks...

1) Headset jack requires a 3 conductor Nokia style plug, so the half dozen or so headsets I have won't work with it. Why oh why would someone not make the headset jack more standard?

2) web config interface only work with IE

3) No way to get phonebook info onto the handset except with the handset itself - not even an address book editing page in the web interface

4) And I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's actually a little too small. I like a small cell phone, but this is my home phone - I'm not carrying it out on a date for cryin' out loud! The size makes it tough to use the buttons and the UI... Plus the UI reminds me of a late '90s era cell phone - horrible little screen.

Oh well, the 2 calls I've made from it sounded good, and the range seems to be pretty good on it, so I guess I'll give it another week or 2 before I decide if I want to swap it back for a regular PA and get a nice 5.8Ghz unit to plug in to it.

Oh yeah, and not to sound like i'm piling on, but NONE of the ring tones actually sound like a phone ringing. I've seen this on regular cordless phones too recently - why can't phone mfr's leave at least ONE normal ring in there???? I'm talking to YOU Siemens!!!
