Just an FYI:

I had never heard of your Torrent client, but I have heard of BitComet, and from what I've heard you should probably also put that one on your "avoid" list. BitComet is (according to several posts I've read on more specific networking sites like linksysinfo.org) VERY hard on network gear.

The RTP300 is going to be "iffy" in terms of support for any sort of heavy BitTorrenting in the first place, due to the "5 day timeout" issue that plagues a lot of consumer grade routers. But BitComet is, from what I have read, probably going to be harder on it than most.

Azureus and uTorrent are the two that always seem to get glowing reviews. uTorrent is the more efficient of the two, as it is compiled code for Windows. Azureus has more detailed controls, and is cross-platform (written in Java). Personally, I have both running, transitioning my way over to uTorrent but finishing up some large seeds in Azureus for a few more weeks before shutting it down. Both are really good, solid, functional clients.

If you do a lot of BitTorrent, you are going to find that the QoS on the RTP300 may not be able to throttle your upstream bandwidth properly, and you'll get complaints of choppy audio on the other end. You can fix this to an extent by throtting your BitTorrent upstreams to leave enough space for 90kbps of upstream data.

In addition, you may experience the same problem on your RTP300 that I had on my WRTP54G (the "wireless enabled" twin of the RTP300) - the router would refuse to open any more connections after running BitTorrent heavily against it for more than a few hours to a day or so. You can fix this to an extent by reducing your simultaneous connections to something in the range of 50, and max outbound attempts to a very low number like 5 or less. You'll have to experiment with numbers until you find the right combination for you.

In my case, it got so bad that I just put a better router in front of the WRTP54G and relegated the Vonage router to "Vonage duty only" as just another network device on my network, with nothing but power, WAN uplink to my other router, and phones plugged in. Works GREAT now. ;)

Actually, in the case of the WRTP54G / RTP300, I think they are just trying to get
