I could be wrong, but I'm guessing your problem is that nobody has ever heard of these routers that you are talking about so they have no basis for comparison.

A few notes that might be helpful to you.

If you are going to continue to use Vonage, getting a router with phone ports on it will be no help to you. You will still have to use one of the Vonage Voip devices behind the router to provide service for the phones.

A simple router that can handle any degree of throughput and that supports QoS will work fine with Vonage.

I personally use a Linksys WRT54GX4 and there are a number of people on this site that use Linksys Linux based routers so that they can load 3rd party firmware on them.

This may or may not help your faxing issues as well since a better quality signal would improve this.

Sorry I don't have more information for you, but I wanted to at least pass along some information to you.
