It seems as though the connection is getting interrupted or so slowed down that it times out.

TRACERT works fine without a call.
TRACERT with a call is unable to resolve www.yahoo.com

What's interesting though is TRACERT to the IP address yields
the first jump outside of my LAN to the WAN and then the request times out trying to hop any further:

tracert 68.142.226.45

over a maximum of 30 hops:

This makes me think that it is just really, really slow, has an internet connection but it is really slow (????).

As for the ports that are forward, nothing is forwarded to the WRTP54G they are all forwarded to various machines I have running database, license servers and remote desktops.
