In the previous post, you said that the PAP2 is still showing the Comcast 24.x.x.x IP, correct? If so, it's running as static. When devices run as DHCP(dynamic), they will usually forget any prior IPs when they are turned off/disconnected from mains power.

If you could, please try the following:
Pick up the phone and press ****

then dial 101# Then choose 1 for Enable. You might need to push # again at this point. This should set DHCP to Enable, which tells the PAP2 to look for a new address every time it's powered up.

Just one last thing.. you said they're using an ADSL splitter. Are they using a real ADSL modem then internet signal to the PAP2 or is the PAP2 connected straight into the wall?
