If you paid for a year of service, your under contract. Just like with a cell phone provider. If you cancel early, you will be forced to pay early termination fees. If you lease a car, you signed a contract. If you can't pay for it, the car goes back and you don't get any of your money back that you invested into it.
I really don't understand people who think they are entitled to money back when they sign contracts. That is why there are terms of service when you sign for anything. People are just too lazy to read through them. There is no theft, no robbery being performed. It is clearly written in the contract you signed that under a 1 years contract, you will not get any money back if you decide to cancel before the contract is up.
