Vonage If you get the message that you describe when you pick up the phone that means that
If you get the message that you describe when you pick up the phone that means that port on the phone adapter has not been provisined (activated). It may be becase you phone adapter is not getting though to Vonage or because Vonage has not activated your account.
So, I am assuming that your configuration is:
Modem -> RTP300 -> Phone + PC
Do if this is the case, and you have the a PC connected to the router, are you able to connect to the internet with the PC through the RTP300? If not maybe the router is not getting an IP address from the Modem. Try turning off the RTP300 and the Modem. Wait several minutes. Turn the Modem on. Wait a minute. Turn the RTP300 on and try again.
If your phone is still not registering then you will have to contact Vonage.
