Vonage I’ve read many posts about choppy audio. I am a new Vonage user (less than 2 months)

I’ve read many posts about choppy audio. I am a new Vonage user (less than 2 months) and have experienced choppy audio from day 1. Initially I had my bandwidth saver setting on the best quality setting, but have since set it to the lowest setting. I have extended the distance of the V-Portal to any other device to at least 20 feet.

When I reset the portal, the choppy audio goes away for a short period of time, but it always comes back. I’ve read that some have “fixed” this problem by using an older rev of the Portal firmware, but I can’t seem to find those posts.

I have tried connecting my phone (both wireless and wired) to the portal and using my home phone wiring and there is no perceived difference.

1. Reston, Virginia
2. Verizon FiOS
3. Download speed 20Mbps, Upload speed 5Mbps
4. No modem required for FiOS connection to internet
5. V-Portal, HW version 135, SW version 3.0.1-0.2.10
6. Verizon FiOS ONT->Cat 5->D-Link 624 Rev C->Vonage Adapter->Phone
