Vonage I've just seen Vonage UK advertising on the website of RTE - the Irish state broadcaster,

I've just seen Vonage UK advertising on the website of RTE - the Irish state broadcaster, with prices in pounds sterling. And I'm like 'Helloo?':roll: Vonage's terms and conditions are that you need to be a UK resident to order the service, and only part of the island of Ireland is part of the UK. The rest of it is an independent republic that uses the euro, not pounds sterling. Would Vonage have advertised its US service in Canada, with prices in US dollars, before it launched its own Canadian service? Although calls to Northern Ireland from the Republic are charged as domestic, and require only an Irish area code, calls to 999/112 will go through to the emergency services in the UK, so it's still not practical as a primary phone line. I haven't seen any UK advertising for Vonage UK, so here's a novel solution: advertise your product in a country in which you offer that product! The Irish communications regulator ComReg is fussier than Ofcom about using geographic numbering for VoIP - you have to live in Dublin to have a Dublin 01 number, and you're not allowed an Irish 076 VoIP number unless you live in the Republic.
