I've had no problems since installation. We have had our PS2's online (we have two PS2's ethernet enabled), daughter on PC, son on phone and me on VPN simultaneously with no problems on Roadrunner.

I couldn't get a local number, but I cut my expenses over $100 per month. I got the 800 number option which is $4.95 per month which includes 100 minutes on the incoming 800 line number. After 100 minutes the cost 4.95 cents per minute for any time over 100 minutes. I did this so the kids could reach the house from anywhere. I have never used more than 10 minutes in a month (you can always call them back). So, the savings more than justified the loss of my phone number.

It is good you are doing research. That way you feel good about your final decision. I did about three weeks of research and never regretted my decision. Once I had decided upon my new Voip provider and equipment I went to the local big box electronics store and picked up a PAP2. I was talking on my new phone in less than 15 minutes. I cut Verizon POTS service after about two weeks of simultaneous service (I couldn't wait a whole month because the whole reason to go to Voip was to get away from them after they gave me a raw deal).

I have not seen a lot of disccussion about a Uninterruptible Power Supply. I did buy a small UPS to power my cable modem, router, adapter, and wireless phone base station. So far I haven't needed it, but I would recommend the investment.
