I've been trying to figure out how to get passthru mode to work, but can't find documentation on it anywhere. My ISP assigned me a fixed IP address, but I'm able to grab other IPs through DHCP if I set my router or MTA up to do so. I'm not sure the cable modem will support 2 IPs coming through it (one DHCP and the other fixed) though. If I uncheck Nat/DHCP in the VT1000, how do I configure the router (which is plugged into the VT1000's LAN port)? Should it have an IP address from the same subnet as the VT1000? Should the VT1000 be the gateway? I had originally (wrongly it would seem) assumed that disabling NAT/DHCP on the VT1000 meant I could just assign my firewall an IP inside the VT1000's 192.168.102.x subnet, and everything would work.
