I use this feature as well with my Verizon cell. This is what I have found to be the case with voice mail:

When I have my cell turned on, both lines will ring and the Vonage VM will pick up if I don't answer the call. I have the simulring set for 25 seconds before going to voice mail.

HOWEVER, if my cell phone is turned off (Verizon cell phones go straight to their voice mail when turned off), my cell phone voice mail will get the call within about two rings. I now just leave my cell on all the time and turn the ringer off at night so it doesn't interfere.

What makes this tricky is when I am out and about on my cell and try to call my wife at home on our Vonage line. When I place the call from my cell, Vonage rings the house and my cell (which I am calling from) at the same time. The call ringing to my cell goes straight to voice mail (because I am in the middle of trying to complete a call- no call waiting beeps on the cell) and I wind up getting my own cell voice mail. The call does ring at home about 1-2 times, but not enough for my wife to answer.

What I can do is use the browser on my Samsung i700 PocketPC phone to login to the dashboard and disable the call forwarding. Or, my wife does see that it was me calling (the phone rings enough for caller id to come through) and she calls me right back.
