Vonage I see some similar posts, but nothing that really answers my specific question

I see some similar posts, but nothing that really answers my specific question so here goes. I am moving into a new house. I had POTS at my last house. This house has modular plugs in all rooms,but when I go to find the network box, there is just a set of what looks like cat5 cables sticking out of the side of the house. It looks like there is one for each room I have a modular jack in.

I have signed up for Vonage but had this idea I would just plug in a modular outlet from the router they send and all would work just like POTS. I don't have the router yet, but I am expecting I have to do something to connect all the modular jacks together for this to work now that I have discovered there is no network block.

I need to be able to allow for a later use of the phone company. I don't want to mess up my wiring in my house and make it look hacked on. So I have a few questions.

Anyway to use my wireless home network to hook all my phones (5) to? If not, what is the simplest type of block to use to connect these together? I have done some home network wiring so I think I can swing the work and I have tools to put connectors on and such. Finally, do I mount this on the outside of the house in some box I buy or would I pull the cable back in the house and put it inside the crawl space? Keep in mind I may want to go to a traditional phone line someday or when I sell the house.

• In principle, all you have to do is to hook all of the blue wires in those cat 5 cables
• All you should do... take your vonage adapter and put it into the closet..
