Vonage I recently installed the Vonage Linksys wrtp54g. I have a hardwired desktop computer

I recently installed the Vonage Linksys wrtp54g. I have a hardwired desktop computer running Windows XP, a Dell notebook running Windows XP, a Motorola wireless print server, and a wireless Tivo.

My issue is that with the hardwired computer, I cannot access any network resources with the routers Firewall & NAT enabled (print server, Tivo and shared resources on the notebook). I also cannot access the shared folders on the desktop computer from the notebook with NAT enabled. If I disable the firewall & NAT, I can access all my network resources but I lose my internet connection. I would like to have access to all network resources and the internet at the same time.

Things that I have tried without success:

1. Placing the desktop in the DMZ
2. 1286 power cycles of both the modem and the router.
3. Decreasing the MTU from 1500-1250
4. Re installing firewalls on the notebook and desktop
5. Going to static IP network wide
6. Hardwiring the notebook to try and recreate the problem…Same symptoms as the desktop when hardwired
7. Changing network cables
8. Changing LAN ports on the router from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 and back again
9. Spending countless hours with Linksys tech support only to have them tell me that it is a firmware problem

Some notable test results:

• With the routers firewall and NAT disabled, I can ping my internet Ip address but cannot ping the default gateway. With NAT on, I can ping both.

• I can ping all of my network resources regardless of NAT status

• When decreasing the MTU amount from 1500-1350, I was able to access the print server once… and only once.

• Using my old router (a Belkin) I have no issues, but have no Voip

Testing parameters:

• All firewalls were disabled, then removed for testing purposes (Norton)
• All anti spy ware programs were disabled and then removed for testing (Trend-Micro)
• All pop up blockers received the same treatment

Other information:

Comcast cable with 6000+ downstream and 400 upstream (wired)

Voip is not in use yet, I'm waiting until this issue is resolved

Any one got a clue. Oh, and while writing this I am on hold to Vonage tech support in order to gain the newest firmware (I have 1.00.60) for the router. If I have the newest, I will try a re-flash.

Thank you for your help
