Vonage I recently had an issue with vonage and partly my fault. I was under the impression

I was under the impression that if you have dsl you can use Vonage. that is what it said online when i signed up. however, due to my own fault apparently i did not realize that my dsl account through yahoo is through att phone service. so now i have no internet..can't use phone..and i read on here that someone uses a measured phone rate to keep their dsl. then how does Vonage work through that? I am extremely disappointed with the Vonage customer service as i have called three times today and can't get someoen to help me in any way. I thought this company was going to save me money. and i am told to get a cable modem..well sorry i am on a low budget income as i am a school teacher i am trying to save money.
