Vonage I'm now officially confused... :( Late today, I received an email from Vonage

I'm now officially confused... :( Late today, I received an email from Vonage indicating that the tranfer has been sucessfully completed. When I log into my Vonage acct, it shows "Current Status: Transfer Completed" followed by "Completed LNP Transfer"..... However, I picked up the original Verizon landline phone in my house and it still has a dial tone. I was still able to make/receive calls on it, using the original landline number. Just to be sure, I plugged the phone into the gray Verizon network interface box in the basement, so I was definitely getting a Verizon landline dial tone.... Next, I used my cell phone to dial my number.... now both the Verizon line as well as the Vonage ling started to ring.... What the... ???? What's going on here? Please help! I've been waiting on the phone for the last 42 minutes, waiting for a Vonage tech.... :(
