Vonage I'm not entirely clear as to why you feel the need to plug the wireless gateway into

I'm not entirely clear as to why you feel the need to plug the wireless gateway into a LAN port on the Vonage router. If you want one single network, then your best bet is to plug the wireless gateway into a SWITCH, then plug the Vonage router and any other local devices into that switch.

So, let me diagram what I think your network looks like today, then we can work out what you are trying to accomplish and how.

In this scenario, all computers on your network are on the same LAN. "Laptop 1" and "PC 1" can talk to each other and "PC 2". HOWEVER, the Vonage router, which requires Internet access on its WAN port, can't talk to Vonage. There's no Internet access on the Vonage WAN port.

You could just plug the wireless gateway into the Vonage router's WAN port and you'd be done. The computers connected to the Vonage router would deal with double NAT, but they have a clear route to the Internet and can talk to each other, like this:

In this scenario, the Vonage router's WAN port now has a path to the Internet. ALL computers on your network ALSO have paths to the Internet. However, since they are on different networks, your computers in LAN1 will be unable to speak to computers in LAN2 and vice versa.

If you MUST have all of your computers connected to either router talking to each other, assuming you have computers on both routers, then you have to attach a switch to your wireless gateway and plug all of your computers AND the Vonage router into that switch, like this:

This gives you one unified LAN, and your Vonage router is just another device on that LAN.

An alternative that will save you the cost of a switch, though a CLUMSY one, is to use the switch on the Vonage router instead of buying a separate one. You do this by plugging the cable from your wireless gateway into LAN1 on the Vonage router, running a cable from LAN2 on the Vonage router to WAN on the Vonage router, and then LAN3 and LAN4 on the Vonage router are available for other devices. I don't recommend this configuration, but if you don't want to buy a switch, then it does work as long as you are careful in your configuration.

Please let me know where I may have misunderstood what you are trying to do, and we'll go from there.
