I'm in the Albany NY area on Road Runner, 5 mbps down, 384 up. I just canceled due to inconsistent call quality during my two week trial. Biggest trouble was dropped packets and delay. My speed tests always showed good results. Probably 50% of my calls had these problems, and it was bad enough to impact the quality of the conversation. Due to the issues people have been having with getting in touch with Vonage tech support, I did not even try to call them. Therefore they had no opportunity to make changes to try to correct the problem. It is entirely possible that they could have fixed it. However, with the clock ticking down on my 14-day trial, I decided I did not want to risk going through with porting my number on the hopes that the quality problems could be corrected. I'm looking forward to trying this again down the road, when hopefully the customer service issues have been worked out and features like E-911 are available.
