I'm in Raleigh, and I've had Vonage for over 3 years now. I am not currently having any problems with Vonage, and have not had any problems recently.

A couple years ago I had problems similar to what you're describing, and the problem was with Time Warner, not Vonage. I was also having problems with my internet and TV service as well, and not just Vonage. Time Warner came out and replaced my cable modem, then replaced all the wiring inside my house, then replaced the cable from the pole to the house. I was still having problems, and after threatening calling the Attorney General's office, the BBB, the City of Raleigh Franchise Authority, and a few other places they finally got me fixed. The problem was at the main line coming into my neighborhood. Seems it was in really bad shape, and as soon as they fixed that everything was great.

The only other time I had a problem was about a year ago. My Cisco ATA (the original device Vonage used to send out) died. I called and they sent a replacement (a Linksys model) out right away.

Other than those two things (neither of which was Vonage's fault), I've never had any problems at all.
