Vonage I'm having a problem with the Vonage RTP300 router not responding to wireless

I'm having a problem with the Vonage RTP300 router not responding to wireless clients connecting through a D-Link DI-624 wireless router. This problem appears to be similar to the post here:

Here's my current configuration:

Arris cable modem -> RTP300 ->DI-624 -> wired & wireless clients

Originally, I had the DI-624 connected to the cable modem, but I had a lot of voice quality problems. The various speed tests showed about 3 - 4 Mb/s download speeds and c. 400Kb/s upload speeds over my local Hargray phone/cable company's Internet connection, so that wasn't bad.

Last week, I worked for several hours with several Vonage tech support guys and we finally got the RTP300 firmware updated and changed the configuration to that shown above; they also decreased the voice packet sizes, and I now have decent voice quality. The RTP300 is now running firmware 5.01.04, which helped tremendously in getting all the noise off the phone lines.

The big problem is that my wireless clients lose Internet connectivity after about 15 - 20 minutes. At that point, they can't PING anything on the Internet, nor can they even get a PING reply from the RTP300. I have 2 wireless and one wired PC - the wired one can be connected to either router and never has a problem accessing the Internet. The wireless PCs can always connect to the wired one to share files & a printer, no matter which router it is attached to, and vice versa. As soon as I disconnect the wired PC and go wireless with it, it has the same problems. I can't even PING the RTP300 from the wireless clients and get a response from it once they "fade away." The only things that restore Internet connectivity are:

1) Run a PING to the wireless clients from the RTP300 Admin utility.
2) Release and Renew the DHCP-assigned IP address from the clients.
3) Reboot either the RTP300 or the wireless clients.
4) Connect the PC via cable to either router.

The RTP300 has to be seeing the communications going through it when the wired PC is connected to it, so it shouldn't be ignoring the PING requests from the wireless clients. All of these clients worked fine wirelessly when the DI-624 was connected to the cable modem and the RTP300 was behind it. So what's the big problem here?

I've disabled DHCP and everything else IP related that I could on the DI-624, and I've even just plugged one of its LAN ports directly into an RTP300 LAN port to eliminate the routing functions on the D-Link box entirely (making it function as just a switch), but no joy. I also manually set the DNS server addresses on the RTP300 and disabled the DNS Proxy feature, but that shouldn't matter when I'm PINGing the RTP300's LAN IP address (and getting no response). Any ideas?
