Vonage I know it's frustrating, but I believe we can get it setup where you can still use

I know it's frustrating, but I believe we can get it setup where you can still use your VPN with the V-Portal. I have a V-Portal along with a wireless router and my Home VPN works just fine with my V-Portal behind my wireless router. Here's what I want you to do. Let's configure your V-Portal first so we can access it through your wireless router. Remove your wireless router and the V-Portal from the setup altogether for now. Only connect your cable or dsl modem to your computer. Go to Start/Run and type in cmd then hit enter. In the command prompt window type in "ipconfig /release" without the quotes then hit enter...this will release your current ip address. In the same command prompt window type in "ipconfig /renew" without the quotes...this will renew your ip address. Unplug the power cable from the back of your modem for about 5 minutes. Plug the power back into your modem, let the lights settle and then restart your computer. Now, we are going to set up the V-Portal. Unplug the power from the back of your modem and follow the guide for connecting your V-Portal to your modem only...do not try to connect your wireless router just yet. Once you have secured all the proper connections, plug the power back into your modem, wait about 30 seconds and then plug the power into your V-Portal. Your LCD screen will guide you from there. If all went well, you should now be able to make a call and access the V-Portal's web interface at "192.168.15.1." Login to the V-Portal using router/router as username and password. On the Basic Setup/Local Network setup tab, select "No" for DHCP server then click apply. We are going to let your wireless router be the DHCP server, that's why we are disabling it in the V-Portal. On the Advanced setup / Network Options tab, enable "Remote Config Management" and click apply. Enabling this feature will allow us to login to the device from the IP address your wireless router assigns to your V-Portal. For example, if your wireless router assigns your V-Portal an IP address of "192.168.1.110," to access the web interface of the V-Portal you would enter "http://192.168.1.110:8080" into your web browsers address field. You can now logout from the V-Portal's web interface. Now, remove the power cable from your modem and disconnect the power cable and ethernet cable connecting your V-Portal. Wait about 3 to 5 minutes and then reconnect your modem to your wireless router and the V-Portal to an ethernet connection on the back of your wireless router. Make sure the blue ethernet cable connecting your wireless router to the V-Portal is connected to the blue port on the back of the V-Portal. Plug the power into your modem first, wait about 30 seconds and then plug the power into your wireless router, wait about 30 seconds and then plug the power into your V-Portal. If al went well you should now be able to make phone calls with your V-Portal. Open a command prompt window and type in, "ipconfig /all" without the quotes then hit enter. Look for your default gateway address. This address will allow you access to your wireless router. You will now have to login to your wireless router and see what IP address your wireless router assigned to the V-Portal.

V-Portal blocking VPN access...

Installed Vportal Phone adapter, but can't connect to my company's VPN. Per the
you have to plug your computer directly into the yellow port on the vonage in order
Are you sure "192.168.15.1" is your default gateway? Go to Start/Run and type
yep, 192.168.15.1 is the default gateway. It seems that I have access to the vportal,
As long as your default gateway is 192.168.15.1 you should also be able to access
Thank you Darrel_G, I tried everything, and spent about 4 hours with this
You could always just swap the order of the WRT54G and the V-Portal. The WRT54G
Just drop the Vportal behind the Wireless router and Connect the wireless router
trekologer, Darrell_G, bngdup: Thank you, thank you, thank you. The VPN
