Vonage I just got vonage. I have a SB5120 hooked into NR041 networkeverywhere router.

I just got Vonage. I have a SB5120 hooked into NR041 networkeverywhere router. (by linksys) The nr041 is hooked into a BEFW11S4 V4(4 port 802.11b wireless router) with wireless turned off. The DHCP server on the S4 is off and I am NOT using the internet port on the s4. I then have my RTP300 hooked into the S4. I have one of the 4 LAN ports of the S4 going into the RTP300 internet port. The NR041 gives the rtp300 an IP and DHCP is on, on the RTP300. I have one computer hooked up to that. Which works just fine. Ip's for the routers are as follows

192.168.1.1 (NR041) DHCP ON
192.168.1.2 (BEFW11S4) DHCP OFF INTERNET PORT NOT USED
192.168.15.1 (RTP300) DHCP ON

So everything works just fine. I get incoming calls, I get a dial tone every time, caller id works. No lag. Can't complain.

I run a ping test on my computer (which is hooked up to the rtp300 and I am getting 50-60 depending on the site. google, yahoo etc. But none the less there is no packet loss or connection problems. The line is pretty solid, it's a comcast line 6meg down 384 up. No problems with it., great pings.

Now here is what is happening. I will use this number as an example. If I call 612-207-MAIL (612-207-6245) which is an automated number for sprint pcs voicemail. If I call that number from a standard land line or my cell phone, It will connect, there is NO RINGING what so ever and you are greated with "Welcome to the sprint messaging system"

Now, if I call from my Vonage line, I get almost 1 full ring and then it says "sprint message system" So "Welcome to the" is getting cut off. It will also cut off other automated lines as well. If I make a call from my Vonage line to my cell phone, if I pick up my cell phone, there doesn't seem to be any cutting off issues. Anyways, could you guys please test out the above number with your Vonage line and let me know if it does the same thing (normal?) or if something is wrong.

I really like Vonage so far. One thing I notice to, if I key in numbers to fast like when calling the voicemail system, sometimes it won't pick them up. For example it says enter your pcs telephone number, I type it in, if I type it in too fast, it won't pick up the numbers and I have to re-do it. I can type them super fast on the same phone if it's plugged into a landline. I really don't like that either. Is that normal also or is something wrong?

any ideas?

Thx!
Sim-X

This sounds as if the Vonage does not recognize that it connects immediately and
i've done more and more calls to other numbers and other people, and always come
