Vonage I just bought a new iMac running OSX 10.4.10 connected through Shaw internet using



I just bought a new iMac running OSX 10.4.10 connected through Shaw internet using a wired Motorola SB5102 modem. All the cords are connected correctly .

With my new iMac I can get lightning fast internet access but the minute I connect my Vonage device I can't even get past a Google page. After spending hours on the phone with Vonage support and after them sending me a new Vonage device the problem persists. Is there anyone else out there with an iMac experiencing the same issue? The last thing Vonage support said to me is "Do you really need to access the internet through a Mac?" It seems like Vonage supports PCs but not Macs...yet they sell to Mac users. I have a 7 year old pc that runs Shaw and Vonage together no problem.

I thought I would come here as a last ditch effort to see if anyone else out there might know more about Mac issues than Vonage support does. If I can't have Vomage plugged in while I surf the net with my iMac I may as well take a time machine back 10 years and sign up for dial up.

Anyone out there who can help it would be much appreciated. If the problem can not be resolved I will have to cancel my account and go with another service. Any suggestions of an alternate service with a comparable price? [B][B]

The router isn't going to know or care if it's a Mac or a PC, it just cares about MAC
knorman is right. This has to be a conflict with your network settings on your MAC.
