I hve been a Vonage customer since 2003. Based upon my experience to date, it is never easy to call Vonage. Okay, I know, it's easy to dial up Vonage, but it usually takes a half-hour to reach anyone, and when you ask a question, it is often mis-understood, and provokes a canned or scripted response that does not quite address the question. That's why I participate in this forum. I have installed Vonage service here (7 lines) and at several other sites for friends or customers. I know that it is not challenging for anybody who knows how to identify a broadband modem, router, voice adaptor, and the associated cables, and it usually works with minimal troubleshooting. My question was prompted by a couple of very elderly out-of-town relatives who both claim to be fed up with their local telco, but are barely able to figure out how to plug a standard telephone set into a modular wall-jack.. It appears that Vonage professional installation might help them, and might be less expensive than air fare for me to go and do it for them. Thanks to all who replied. Your answers are appreciated, even if a few were based upon some wildly invalid assumptions.

Your last post was very well put. I agree with your assessment of Vonage's customer
Vonage uses private contractors, such as Endeavor( note, this is just one of them).
