Vonage I honestly sometimes don't understand people's logic as consumers. I was watching

I honestly sometimes don't understand people's logic as consumers. I was watching MSNBC news this morning to find about some information about the Vonage Broadband Phone Company and their 911 service. I am proud to say that I am a rather happy Vonage costumer and we think the service is great. I don't understand how people receive a service and don't even know a damn thing about it. When you first sign up for Vonage the representative even mentions about the 911 service and how it is different from normal phone services. God knows......I mean you see it at least five times when you receive your router device and a big packet of information. Don't you think you should read what might be contained in all of those pieces of paper?? I am sure the company does not put it in the box that ships with your router for the hell of it. This is a new service....brand new. I think consumers should be informed especially with Vonage being the up and coming way of phone service. You can't sue Vonage for trying to make you aware. YOU have to activate 911.....it says it on the website, on all of the information in your packet you receive from them...even when you speak with a customer representative. Sorry, I just think that people need to be a little bit more wise especially when being a part of a brand new service. You need to be knowledgable about it. It's not up to Vonage whether or not you as a customer decide to activate the 911 service. "Oh, I am going to sue Vonage because my daughter died while I was trying to call 911." No ma'am, sorry...you were the idiot you wasn't informed and that's what happens when you screw up. Think about it folks, if your power goes out....so does your phone. What happens if you need 911 then?? Ok then......cover all bases and get a cell phone that already has 911 on it. I am about to be a new mom this coming June and I already have all my bases set. For those of you who plan on being prepared for anything that may happen in the future including an unexpected situation that requires 911.....make sure you activate 911...you can't blame the phone company for your stupidity.....

It seems like if you activate 911 on vonage for 99% of the people it tends to work.
I think part of the issue is that people are not activating the 911 service. At least
Vonage's 911 connection seems to vary from place to place. What is really important
I would agree that the most important thing to do is to test your 911. Maybe (mods)
I did a test and it rang my city's non-emergency number. She said they don't have
Thats weird that there's no direct dial number, try to see if you can get someone
Vonage 911 That has been part of our site and in my sig for sometime now.
Sorry bout that...
No problem. If it is an issue on your mind, you should put it in your sig also. :)
