Vonage I have set up several companies with Vonage without the issues specified above.

I have set up several companies with Vonage without the issues specified above. 2 of them came from Telus, the other 3 from Bell. I also use Vonage and have for 3 years without isues. 2 small power outages (can't blame them). On server problem on Vonage's behalf, solved in a couple of hours. And any problems that happened with QOS, echoing, etc. all sorted easily. All that said, others have varying mileage. Of course they have the same/similar issues with other companies, just check those forums. Of course, if you look at the savings, not much of an issue. I always find people in general make problems by not understanding enough of what they are implementing. As for no phone service mentioned above, that could have been solved easily with Vonage's ability to transfer calls to cell or other phones. I even helped setup one business with a '800' number through another provider, that re-directs to Vonage, no issues globally. Now as for the original question concerning Asterix - no go, at least directly. It is doable, but a little routing trickery is required as Asterix and Vonage use 2 different protocols. Everyone can vote for their favorite. Softphones work very well, with Vonage or Skype these days. Every business needs full uptime, we all know it. We also all know it's not quite reality with power outages growing annually. However it isn't hard to make sure you have a system that will be at least portionally up all the time and a more realisitc value of greater than 70% up fulltime. I don't come by this forum all that much Kevin, but if you want to email me I will be happy to provide you with any and all information I can so you can try things out. If you do this along side your current system for awhile it will be easier. The key to the move actually is that VOIP is not landline. It offers far more potential with far less restrictions and can really save money and offer new features. You just have to look at the issue a little differently. All the best. Jason (my first name plus belec at rogers plus dot plus com of course) No, just a customer.

Convert my Small Business to VOIP

We are considering moving our business phone to Vonage but I have some reservations.
We are moving our primary phone back to Telus and we MIGHT keep a vonage line or two
Is is possible there is a conspiracy theory with the phone companies who also provide
Yeah, thye do not play fair all the time. Then again, in several cases they do. I
