I have one, so my experience is obviously not yours. But I have heard of many behind the firewall, and it should (note, obviously not does, but should) work.

One way to do it is to have Vonage configure each device to a custom port range. I think CS could do this for you. I know there are some threads around here that have people with multiple Vonage units behind firewalls.

The key, as I understand it, is NOT for forward ANY ports. Vonage devices should be speaking outbound, and setting up an active RTP server on a random port between 10000 and 25000 for calls, if I understand the process correctly. I may be horribly wrong, but I do know that as long as I don't CLOSE ports, everything works okey-dokey for me, and nothing is forwarded at all. Not via port forwarding, not via port triggering, not via UPnP. The Vonage device is responsible making its own way out, and it manages to, and it keeps the connection alive even though I have all idle connections being cleaned up after 1/2 hour of inactivity.

try to do a factory reset, sometimes that fixes issues where values get stuck in
screw calling up for that ! log into the router's configuration page, under administration,
