I have both Thunderbird and Eudora on this computer. Both work with connection excluding the Motorola adaptor. Thunderbird gives the error message.

Failed to connect to server pop.

What brings me to this board is that I was reading in an IT trade paper at work about a similar problem with another Voip service and ISP. It seems it was a setting to change in server name. He called his ISP, something I am trying to avoid as it means being on hold for 1/2 an hr. I don't know how supportive they will be as it is a problem arising from a product aside from their own.

I will look for the article tomorrow.

Rogers uses Yahoo for its mail, but I am able to acquire it with a server setting of Pop.

I would think other Rogers customers would have this problem, as someone has to have a router with a home network. When I bought and configured the linksys router four years ago, I had to make a custom setting. I had to brute force something, but for the life of me, I can not recall what it was.

I see with thunderbird I can change the Port. I plan on using Thunderbird in the future, but for now I use Eudora.
The port is 110.
