Vonage I have no idea if they get their clocks from your puter but if your puter didn't update




I have no idea if they get their clocks from your puter but if your puter didn't update it's because there is an update from Microsoft that didn't take somehow. Assuming you update automatically that is.
Microsoft has a utility that you can download and install and read your registry's time settings. On that same page are the new registry settings to update for the Daylignt Saving changes. I'll post the whole shebang here in the hopes that this is not too off-Vonage and can be helpful.

This is a post of mine from another forum. The link for the utility follows. You need to scroll down a ways to find it on the Microsoft page but it will tell you your Daylight Saving rules for your puter and you can see if you need the update.

"Been doing some reading on here and find I am not the only one who has a computer that failed to get the Microsoft update about the time zone changes. I even have it set to Automatic Updates and I think I even have the update in question but it failed to make the necessary changes somehow.

Fortunately there is a fix for this and it isn't hard and doesn't involve going into the registry per se. You do need to follow instructions, however. LOL

Copy everything between the stars and put it into a Notepad document and save it somewhere where you can find it. Instead of saving it as New Text Document.txt make it TZUpdate_US.reg (File -> Save As... and in the first line of the dialog box put TZUpdate_US.reg and then click Save). Then all you do is go to this file and right click on it and choose Merge and all that gobbledegook in the registry will be updated for you without any worries of a meltdown.

If you wish to check your work Microsoft has a utility that will read all that binary stuff for you and translate it into English. It's called TZEdit.exe and you can get it here:

Scroll down on the page (about 4/5 of the way) until you find:
"Download the Tzedit.exe utility package now" and click on it.

OK here's the stuff for your Notepad document. Be sure to include the first line about version 5.0 in your copy/paste action."
