I have had a Vonage phone for about 5 months. The calls often drop and I have had to move the modem away from my other computer equipment, which in my small office is difficult.

I have called twice and both times had to start troubleshooting from scratch. My internet connection through Rogers has always been stable.

Today I called to cancel. Sure, for $149 I can cancel. Nice. I argued with the fellow indicating that the service never really worked and eventually he indicated that my other option was paying $49 and he can ask his management to waive the extra $100. He told me that the system would not accept no payment. Nice. It was interesting how he continued to verify my agreement with every step as clearly the call was being recorded and clearly Vonage was covering their behinds. It was also very clear that he was asking no one for the fee waiver. He just put me on hold, probably called a buddy and chatted for a few minutes and then came back. I am sure Vonage is used to people complaining as their service is awful.
