Vonage I have been reading the posts about Directv, but I have a few questions for the experienced



I have been reading the posts about Directv, but I have a few questions for the experienced guys just to do with the Direcdtv receiver. I have a Directv RCA receiver and Verizon POTS/DSL. I have been considering switching to Vonage for a while but am not sure it is the right thing to do. Can you give me some info on: 1. Will the Directv receiver work OK on vonage without any Tivo. And will the DSL work fine on the internet without interference from the VOnage, and vice versa. It is a deal killer if your phone service is interfered with by the internet activity which is consatnt here. 2. I moved to MA from NJ and do not want local channels from Boston or Red Sox games. I want the locals from the NYC/North Jersey area and the Yankees on the Yes network out of NYC which is in the Directv local package. I can use a friends address in NJ and order the vonage with a number from there. I do not want to try to get anything from Directv that they dont already offer and I pay for it all, but I am willing to give up the Boston stuff for the NJ stuff. Will Directv think the box is in NJ if the phone number and listed address is out of there? 3. If I go ahead with Vonage how do I order the DSL without POTS from Verizon. Is that a project too? Thanks for the help in advance.
