Vonage I have a client who has been using the black Motorolo ATA and a Netgear WGR614v3.

I have a client who has been using the black Motorolo ATA and a Netgear WGR614v3. The cablemodem (Motorola SB5120) is plugged into the WAN port on the ATA - The ATA's PC port is then plugged into the Netgear WGR614v3 WAN port.

I think the voice quality of the above sounds about the same as my SB5120 feeding the WAN port on my RT31P2 if not slightly better (lower noise floor)

The problem is that his configuration doesn't seem to support port forwarding. I want to setup Remote Desktop (Terminal Services) I mapped the port on the Netgear but the Motorola isn't passing it through. I couldn't get any service requiring a port forward to work (web on alternate ports, remote management of Netgear unit etc)

Does Vonage swap out Motorola units on complaint still? I had a noise problem with mine and they swapped it out for the RT31P2.

Is there a way for me to get port forwarding to work with my clients setup? I tried putting the ATA behind the Netgear but couldn't get a dial tone.
