Vonage I have a VT1000 and bought the GX2 and spent a day with the SAME EXCAT issue you describe.



I have a VT1000 and bought the GX2 and spent a day with the SAME EXCAT issue you describe. I would get on a call and it would pulse my cable modem lights and I would get every other word. After digging deeper on it I came up with a bug in the router that was setting the Internet port at half duplex. I did speed test and duplex test with and with out the Vonage adapter and they where cut in half vs. my WRT54G router. There are major problems with that router. I took mine back after I gathered all my data. You have 2 choices. Keep it and hope Linksys sees the problem and releases a firmware to fix it or bring it back. I would bring it back. I personally am going to wait for an 802i router. Let us know if you get it to work but after almost a full day I could not get the port to link up correctly.

Connected through a brand new Linksys WRT54GX2, the PAP2 experiences a consistent,
my linksys router is also set at half duplex...but my vonage works flawlessly...
Not sure what you are looking at but you can not see what the WAN port on a linksys
oh, just remember a test at an RID NDT server that said my data was being sent a half
Yeah the wrt54g works great thats not what this thread relates to and no the test
Hi - it's 10/21/05 and I have the exact same problem. I replaced an original WRT54G
I think I may have found the issue. I since then went and bought a PRE N Belkin router
Interesting. I don't have access to the router now, but looking at the online docs,
Disabled the firewall as suggested, and Vonage works just fine now. Linksys
