Vonage I have a Brother MFC-8840DN that I have hooked into one side of a two way phone line
I have a Brother MFC-8840DN that I have hooked into one side of a two way phone line splitter. The other side of the splitter goes to my wireless house phones base station. The input side to the splitter comes from my Vonage RT31P2.
I've had this setup for about 1.5 years and never had problems sending or receiving single or multi-page faxes up to 20-30 pages.
For every incoming call, the Brother simply eaves-drops after the initial rings and if it hears a fax tone, it will answer and receive the fax. If it doesn't hear the tone, it won't answer and the house phone rings normally. If I have an incoming fax and inadvertently pick up the phone and hear the fax tone, I simply hang up and the Brother never misses a beat.
